Or is it?
Today we're talking Cover FX Custom Cover Drops foundation. To keep this review short I'll tell you what its suppose to do and what it's actually done for me...but first, with 24 shades to choose from this product retails for approx. $44 and can be bought through CoverFx.com and Sephora online & in store. P.S. this is just my personal take on it, what I've tried, what's worked for me, what hasn't and etc..feel free to comment and let me know what's worked for you and if you're loving or hating this product.
So first things first, these drops are pure pigment drops, not meant to be used alone but instead mixed with other (liquid) products such as a moisturizer, primer, oil, other foundations, etc.. Mix it up with whatever! Right? So anyway, one drop of this will give you a sheer (light) coverage, two drops medium coverage, three for full coverage and four drops for total coverage. You kind of have to mess around with it a little bit and try different things to see what works best for you and your skin type. Feeling Science-y yet? lol.
Here's What I've Tried:
My first time trying this I used it with a gel moisturizer and the result was horrible, blotchy and broken up foundation..not flattering! Oh let me go ahead and tell y'all, my skin is normal/combo..sometimes my t-zone gets oily and I have patchy redness all over but that's it. Alright, so what ended up working for me was mixing 3 drops (a little goes a long way!) with Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer ($39 this stuff is amazing!) and I was sold! Left with a flattering, lightweight canvas, my face looked even in tone, pores were gone and I felt airbrushed! To the touch this combo felt so silky and blended into my skin effortlessly! I'd start off applying it all over with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush ($9) then blend it in with a beauty blender to get that flawless finish that lasts all day!
All in all I love it! Definitely worth the investment; this makes a great addition to one's beauty collection!
There we go, guys! This concludes my very first blog post/ review! (Whoop, Whoop!), lol hope you found my review helpful! If you did, give it a like!
Till next time!
