I've been wearing this product everyday for the past two weeks and I love it! I haven't been this happy about a foundation in a really long time, but to be fair I can be difficult when it comes to foundations. Having dry-combination skin (oily t-zone, dry patches throughout with huge pores), I was looking for a foundation that could give me flawless coverage yet feel lightweight and hydrate my face all while keeping my t-zone from getting oily. You see? Difficult.
wearing brow pomade and the Rimmel London foundation
With that being said, this Rimmel London foundation is a pretty big deal to me...I love it when inexpensive products turn out to be amazing, ESPECIALLY when they're face products! The Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation (roughly $8 at Ulta) has a 'comforting serum' that really helps with dry/ sensitive skin. It claims to be sweat-proof and last 25 hours, which of course is a bit sarcastic. In my opinion, it lasts about 8 hours (without touching up) and is not sweat-proof. If it's hot out and you have combo/oily skin, I definitely recommend setting this with powder. I've applied it multiple ways but would say the best way to apply it is with a buffing brush or beauty blender, I recommend the Real Techniques buffing brush and their complexion sponge. To me, the pro's outweigh the con's for this drugstore foundation.
Do you have a favorite drugstore/ inexpensive foundation? If so, let me know which one you're loving in the comments below.
Lots of Love,
