I love trying new products, especially when they look this good...

So, I know that this set of brushes by Sonia Kashuk is nothing new, but it is new to my collection. I had my eyes on them for such a long time before purchasing them, in other words every time I'd go through the beauty section of Target I'd look them up and down feeling tempted and skeptical at the same time. Oh, you know the feeling. Yes, they're beautiful and Sonia Kashuk usually has really great products but I had never personally owned any SK brushes and of course there's no way to feel them at the drugstore so you know I had to give it some thought, haha.
I finally decided to try them out and leave a quick little review right here for anyone wanting to get a better.... 'feel' for these before purchasing...be warned, I use the 'brushes' entirely too much in this blog, so sorry!
First and foremost, the set comes with 10 brushes, 4 face brushes and 6 eye brushes. They retail for about $40 and are only sold at Target. These are made of goat hairs and I've never owned brushes made of goat hair which was another reason I wasn't sure about buying them at first. Since the brushes are not named/numbered, I numbered them below just for reference. I won't go into too much detail or talk about every single one but I do want to point out a few things I know I'd like to know before purchasing.

The handles are very sturdy, they feel really high-quality.
The softest brushes are #'s 2,4 &7, with that being said, I feel like these in particular are made of a different material.
#1 is very large, as you can tell in the photos. It is perfect for applying powder, all-over blending, or bronzing. The bristles are not nice and soft, but it's also not overly irritating. Personally, I don't mind it, it's just not as soft as I'd like it to be.
#2 is SO SOFT. It's a bit more dense then #1, but it is the softest brush in the whole set! It feels like cotton-amazingness on the skin. Lol.
#3 looks a lot smaller in the picture than in real life, in my opinion anyway. I used this brush to apply my foundation, which ended up being a horrible idea. It did not apply my liquid foundation nicely at all, it was streaky and very difficult to blend in. Also, the hairs on this one are very irritating and began to shed immediately upon the first use.
#4 is a short, slanted brush with really soft bristles. I'm assuming they meant this to be for foundation, but for me, this baby is way to short and dense for me to use for foundation.
The eye brushes in this set are pretty nice but I've found that the fluffy blending brushes are a bit rough and shed quite often. The one brush I really want to point out is #7. I've never owned a brush like this one, it's like a flat shader brush with a pointed tip, it is so soft and just absolutely perfect for getting in that inner corner/ inner half of the eye.
Overall, I wouldn't repurchase these nor would I recommend them just because they're not consistent in quality, like some brushes are really soft and some are really irritating and shed like crazy. But I will say, they make beautiful collection brushes.
Thank you so much for checking out my blog. Feel free to comment your thoughts on these below.
