Hello & Good Day, Everyone!!

This is my second time trying to post this, guys! I don't even know what happened yesterday when I had originally posted this, but we're moving on! lol. This look is featuring the new Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara (keep reading for a short review on this product), we are putting emphasis on the eyes by really lengthening the lashes and bringing brightness to the eyes, as well as creating a flawless canvas (face). Below is a list of products I used, links to where you can find them & a step by step guideline on how I achieve this look, but feel free to change it up to your liking! Let me know in the comment box below if you try this and your thoughts on it!

STEPS:

1. Begin by prepping face with your favorite primer. If you have big, visible pores, I recommend Benefit's POREfessional..this stuff is amazing! It fills in your pores & acts like a barrier between your makeup and skin, providing a smooth flawless base!

2. Apply a thin layer of foundation. If you're looking for a foundation that will keep you matte and give you great coverage, I recommend Loreal's Infallibe Pro-matte foundation. I also recommend using a beauty blender to blend out your foundation. A beauty blender is an amazing, must-have tool, because it keeps your foundation from looking too thick or uneven, it also prevents it from looking streaky or cakey (I could go on & on about beauty blenders, they are just such an amazing tool!). My favorite substitute for the original Beauty Blender is the Miracle Complexion Sponge from Real Techniques ($6) which can be found at drugstores!

3. Conceal. This step is easy, if you want to achieve a really natural concealed look simply apply a small amount of a medium to full coverage concealer right under the inner corner of the eye and blend(with your finger or beauty blender) downward & then over to the outer part of the eye (sort of like an upside-down triangle shape). I hope this is making sense! You can do this two ways, using the beauty blender (or similiar sponge) gently push the product into the skin using a bouncing motion (don't pull or tug at the skin for this will cause premature wrinkles!). Another way to do this is by using your finger to gently dab the product into the skin (in that upside-down triangle motion), the warmth that comes from your fingertips will cause the product to melt into the skin beautifully. You can also use a lighter shade of concealer to highlight your t-zone.

4. Set Concealer. To achieve that luminous look, set your concealer with a yellow toned setting powder or a luminating setting powder (Laura Mercier has probably the best setting powders for this).

5. Bronze/ Contour. Bronzing is a technique used to bring warmth back into your face. You can apply this all over, focusing more on the outer parts of the face. Contouring brings dimension to the face. In this look I focused more on bronzing the outer parts of the face.

6. Highlight. Take a small amount of highlight onto the fingertip and dab it onto the high parts of the cheek & dab a small amount to inner corners of the eyes (and t-zone, if you wish).

7. Sweep a pink toned blush onto the apples of the cheeks.

8. Using a synthetic eyeshadow brush apply cream eyeshadow to just the lids.

9. Curl and coat lashes use a lengthening masacara for a flattering look.

10. Apply Lacque-y Charm lip lacquer to the lips.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Pros: Lenthening powers unlike most drugstore mascaras

Cons: Difficult to take off! If you're going to purchase this make sure you have a really good eye makeup remover, no joke this is some tough stuff! Also this mascara clings onto each eyelash and begins to dry out causing fall out. Lots & Lots of fall out.

Overall: Yes to length, no to everything else. I won't be repurchasing this.
