This time of year, whether I choose to wear a bold lip* or a natural one, keeping my lips smooth & healthy is most important. Wouldn't you agree? Here's how I care for my lips to keep them hydrated, what I do if they do get chapped & how I create a beautiful, healthy looking smile!
*When I'm feeling like it's a bold lip kinda day I'll usually reach for Rimmel London's Kiss Fatale (OBSESSED) or Milani's Sangria

Left to Right: Maybelline Born With It, Milani Sangria, Mac Viva Glam III A54, Loreal Jennifer's Nude.
A Vital Step to My Night Routine.
This step is LIFE CHANGING. As we approach winter and the weather starts cooling down, I have to take better care of my lips in order to keep them looking & feeling good. Hydration is key! For me, this means gently exfoliating my lips (mix coconut oil with sugar for an easy DIY lip scrub), then applying a Vasaline lip product, a treatment or mask before going to bed. Doing this makes a huge difference in the appearance of my lips in the morning! Think plumpy & smooth!

COLOR THEM SMOOTH.
Before applying lipstick I gently brush my lips with a toothbrush to rid them of any dead skin (if needed). If I'm dealing with a really matte lipstick, I'll first apply a thin layer of chapstick; doing this helps create an even & smooth application and protects your lips from the drying affects some matte lipsticks cause.
Afterwards, I'll line my lips with a matching lip pencil to keep my lipstick from feathering throughout the day!
What are your favorite lip therapy products?
